I am so happy and excited. I just had my first customer. Though initially I settled to do business within the U.S., my first customer was from Australia. So I changed some things my coach at PMI recommended and had my first sale one month from the date of publishing. I published my website for the first time on April 23, 2010 and had my first sale on May 22, 2010.

I have been tracking the IP of visitors, and so far I have 29 unique customers that are coming back from time to time. I have done some text editing throughout website, mainly on the first five pages. So far, I am very happy with the builder and all the support I have received from PMI’s advising and tech teams.

I like to use chat. This is, in fact, the only way I contact support teams. All of PMI’s consultants are very knowledgeable and helpful. Most of the time I use tech support, and every time my issues are resolved. Sometimes they are resolved right away, but one time I had to leave. The consultant gathered a whole team of other consultants and continued to work on my issue while I was gone. The next time I checked my builder, everything was fixed and working fine.

By now, I have accounts on about 50 social bookmarking sites and have added my website to about 30 of them. I checked Twitter and they had a nice tutorial on how businesses can best use Twitter for promoting their site. So I will sign up there as well. Then I will use pay-per-click marketing with Google and Yahoo and start doing that. And hopefully, I will begin have even more traffic to my site.

I am writing to let you know how important PMI has been in getting me going on my own website. I bought the Stores Online package and just got my computer a few weeks ago. I was so scared about how I was going to get all of this going by myself.

PMI has been an inspiration! The mentoring program is great and it keeps me focused on accomplishing each task. Setting up an online store seems like an overwhelming process at the beginning, but with the help of PMI, I have taken small steps each week to meet my goals and I am hoping to be published soon.

I look back on the last 4 months and marvel at how much I have learned.  Not only learned, but also retained the knowledge.  One of the reasons why I decided to go with PMI was that I knew I needed more than one on one consulting.  Having the chat line allows me to talk to you guys and not be embarrassed because I have asked the same question more than once or asked to have something explained again because I didn’t get it the first time.

Your patience, understanding, and the ability to explain things in the most basic language is one of the reasons why I am at the level of computer ease that I am…I know that it is your job to help us but you do it above and beyond the call.
