“In March of 2009 I overcame my fear and ordered PMI’s success academy course. I put the total price on my credit card. After doing this I was up all night thinking “what have I done” now I HAVE to make this work! After going through a couple courses I took immediate action with the help of my action items.
My first agenda after completing a couple courses was to make offers on multiple properties. After getting one accepted for $21,500, I felt that same fear as when I ordered the course on my credit card! Although happy, excited and scared at the same time, I used my knowledge of PMI’s books and academy course to push through the fear of negotiating. I called the real estate agent after a few days and re-offered only $21,000 because I found 500 worth of repairs that I missed on the original inspection of the property. One was the fuel tank was leaking and the second was the water holding tank had a hole in it. The owners said they would not accept the 21,000 so I said I would move on to the next property that I offered on as I made known that I offered on many properties during the week.
The next day the owners accepted the offer (change of mind)! So I had my first success academy deal in the works! Learning from the PMI program…has given me the knowledge, confidence, and determination to take the action I need to reach the goal that I set for myself of completing 5 deals in 12 months. It has now been 9 months and I am currently on my 5th deal!”
