Dustin is becoming a savvy real estate investor with the help of PMI.
When I began with the PMI team I did have a general knowledge of real estate. I worked for a large builder for years and dealt with many home buyers, homeowners, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other real estate professionals. Even though I only personally purchased two homes, I felt confident in entering the real estate field as my new career with the help of PMI. When I joined the PMI academy I knew with their support and knowledge and my experience, I would be successful in my new profession.
When deciding what I was going to do in real estate I put together a list of the things that I knew about real estate. I then contacted the staff at PMI who helped me develop a plan to get started. The PMI coaches helped me create an LLC. They also guided me on making a financial and marketing plan. We developed a target area and a marketing strategy to discover discounted properties to rehab and obtain as rentals. It did not take long for the phone to start ringing. The strategies we used help develop these marketing pieces directed motivated sellers to our automated phone answering system. The beauty of this system is it did most of the work for me. Not only did it funnel motivated sellers, but also other investors and investor friendly agents, and other real estate professionals.
When I discovered what I believed was the right first deal I discussed it with one of the PMI coaches and he assured me I found a “cash cow”. He walked me through every aspect of the deal from first talking to the seller, all the way until I had my first tenant in the unit. This new confidence and guidance from my PMI coach helped me obtain my next few deals. Soon I moved onto a short sale purchase and then to buying a bank owned property. The PMI team helped me through every detail of my deals and gave me the confidence and support needed to become a successful investor.
